On 29th June, 26th October 2024 and 8th March, 2025 we held our first three Repair cafe events at the Community Centre.

All were a great success, with all repairers fully booked.  We are having another on 28th June 2025.

A team of volunteer repairers are willing to look at most types of treasured belongings from large toys, cycles, laptops and electrical items to mending clothes and sharpening blades.  Even if you have nothing to repair, you are welcome to a seat in the cafe to check out what's going on and enjoy tea or coffee and a slice of homemade cake.   Look out for news of our next event.

Braughing Repair Cafe repeated.  Residents grateful for extended  life of treasured items.

The third repair cafe, held on 8th March, was another success.  Every slot was pre-booked and again over thirty treasured belongings - clothing, cycles, furniture, large toys, laptops and small electrical items were brought in for repair, and a lot of blade sharpening was done. Comments from those attending were complimentary, and those who just visited for tea and cake were equally happy with the new event.  The majority of items were able to be repaired, which saved them having to be taken to the recycling centre.   We are enormously grateful for the donations, and to the fabulous team of repairers, hosts, cake makers and helpers who made this work so well.
