We have now held four Repair Cafe events at the Community Centre.  All were a great success, with all repairers fully booked.  

A team of volunteer repairers are willing to look at most types of treasured belongings from large toys, cycles, laptops and electrical items to mending clothes and sharpening blades.  Even if you have nothing to repair, you are welcome to a seat in the cafe to check out what's going on and enjoy tea or coffee and a slice of homemade cake. 

Our next Repair cafe will take place on 8th November.

The fourth repair cafe, held on 28th June, was another success.  Every slot was pre-booked and around forty treasured belongings  were brought in for repair, and a lot of blade sharpening was done. Comments from those attending were complimentary, and those who just visited for tea and cake were equally happy with the event.  The majority of items were able to be repaired, which saved them having to be taken to the recycling centre.   We are enormously grateful for the donations, and to the fabulous team of repairers, hosts, cake makers and helpers who made this work so well.
